Job summary

Dayton Freight Lines is seeking a part-time Terminal Maintenance role to keep the Service Center clean and presentable. The candidate should be able to handle cleaning tasks across dock, yard, and office areas, and assist with organizing and general duties as required by Operations.

Strong communication with staff and customers is expected, along with adherence to safety rules. Applicants must be 18+ with basic math skills and fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Clean the dock, yard, and office to maintain a presentable Service Center.
• Sweep and empty trash cans; organize areas.
• Communicate any equipment defects to the Operations Supervisor on duty.
• Be available for irregular work schedules and shift changes.
• Interact effectively with customers and company personnel.
• Lift and carry boxes without assistance.
• Report all accidents and injuries immediately to the Operations Supervisor on duty.
• Work within all company safety requirements.

Responsibilities

Terminal Maintenance is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the Service Center to create a clean and presentable work atmosphere.

• Cleaning the dock, yard, and office
• Sweeping and Emptying Trash cans
• Organizing
• Complete other various tasks as instructed
• Timely communicate any known defects of equipment to Operations Supervisor on duty
• Available for irregular work schedules and for altering work shifts and/or assignments
• Effectively interact and converse with customers and company personnel
• Lift and carry boxes without assistance
• Report all accidents and/or injuries immediately to Operations Supervisor on duty
• Work within all company safety requirements
