Job summary

East Ayrshire Council is seeking a Classroom Assistant at Onthank Primary School. The role is temporary, part-time, term-time only, with an expected contract until 31 March 2027. Hours are 27.5 per week, Monday to Friday, under the direction of the Line Manager.

Salary ranges from £17,649 to £18,397 per annum for part-time term-time work. The post requires PVG scheme membership for regulated work and the post holders will be required to undergo pre-employment checks and provide two references,

Qualifications

• PVG check required for regulated work with children/adults.
• Two references requested, one from current or most recent employer.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to learners and teachers including classroom administration and materials preparation.
• Contribute to delivery of key objectives in Education Service Plan and Community Plan.
• Work within Safer Recruitment guidelines and complete pre-employment checks.
