SUMMARY OF JOB CLASSIFICATION:
Performs entry/developing-level Probation Officer responsibilities, including investigation, assessment, supervision, resource coordination, and monitoring of clients’ court-ordered for services. Completes required training courses and programs.

Education and Experience Equivalency:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice, sociology, psychology, human services or related field.
OR
Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate's degree in criminal justice, sociology, psychology, human services or related field and two (2) years of work-related experience in criminal justice, law enforcement, social work, psychology or related field.
OR
High School Diploma or G.E.D and four (4) years of work-related experience in criminal justice, law enforcement, social work, psychology or related field may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required formal education.
Work Related Experience:
Work-related experience in criminal justice, law enforcement, social work, psychology, or similar field. The work performed by a majority of employees is semi-complex.

Physical Effort Requirements:
