Job summary

Career Guidant Inc. is looking for a Full-Time Permanent position for a skilled IT professional with strong project management and Teradata knowledge in Bellevue, Washington. You will be required to manage project timelines, communicate effectively, and ensure high performance of database systems.

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, and have at least 7 years in Information Technology, along with proficiency in SQL programming and Unix Shell scripting. Travel may be required as per job demands.

• Strong Requirement Elicitation & Analysis skills
• Should have the capability to understand requirements and convert to design
• Ability to coordinate with SMEs, stakeholders, manage timelines, escalation & provide on time status – strong project management skills as well
• Good knowledge in Teradata concepts and logical/physical database design
• Experience in using Teradata utilities TPT, TPump, BTEQ, fastload, fast export and multiload
• In-depth knowledge of performance tuning and optimization to handle and process large volumes of data in Teradata
• Experience in SQL programming (views/store procedures/macros/functions) based on user requirements and architectural guidelines and standards
• Good knowledge and experience on Big Data related technologies is a plus
• Good knowledge of BI/DW concepts
• Experience in writing Unix Shell scripting is a must
• Excellent communication skills
• The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 7 years of experience with Information Technology.
