Job summary

A US-based technology firm in Plano, Texas, is seeking a skilled professional with a strong background in Teradata and SQL programming. The candidate should possess excellent requirement elicitation and project management skills, particularly in handling large data volumes. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and at least 4 years of relevant IT experience are required. This is a full-time, permanent position open to US citizens and authorized workers only.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.
• At least 4 years of experience with Information Technology.
• Experience in SQL programming for views, stored procedures, macros, and functions.

Responsibilities

• Strong requirement elicitation and analysis skills.
• Coordinate with SMEs and stakeholders, manage timelines, and provide on-time status.
• In-depth knowledge of performance tuning for large volumes of data in Teradata.
• Apply Teradata and BI/DW concepts; optimize performance for large data.
• Develop in SQL and Teradata utilities per architectural guidelines.

Job Description

• Strong Requirement Elicitation & Analysis skills
• Should have the capability to understand requirements and convert to design
• Ability to coordinate with SMEs, stakeholders, manage timelines, escalation & provide on time status – strong project management skills as well.
• Good knowledge in Teradata concepts and Logical/physical database design
• Experience in using Teradata utilities TPT, TPump,BTEQ,fastload, fastexport and multiload.
• Experience in SQL programming (views/store procedures/macros/functions) based on User requirements and architectural guidelines and standards.
• Good knowledge and experience on Big Data related technologies is a plus
• Good knowledge of BI/DW concepts
• In-depth knowledge of Performance tuning and optimization to handle and process large volume of data in Teradata and Mainframe.
• Experience in SQL programming (views/store procedures/macros/functions) based on User requirements and architectural guidelines and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of experience with Information Technology.
