Job summary

Innova Solutions is seeking a seasoned Teradata DBA for a contract role supporting Plano, TX, Charlotte, NC and Jacksonville, FL locations. You will manage Teradata environments, implement automation, and collaborate with project teams on complex data initiatives.

The role requires 10+ years of Teradata DBA experience, familiarity with Teradata V17.20+, and proficiency in Unix/Linux scripting. On-call support and disaster recovery planning are included as part of responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years Teradata DBA experience.
• Experience with Teradata V17.20 or higher.
• DDL creation and SQL scripting expertise.
• On-call rotation support experience.
• Unix/Linux scripting (KSH, BASH, PERL).
• Knowledge of Teradata tools and mainframe interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Provide Teradata DBA support and automation using Teradata and Unix/Linux scripting.
• Support multiple Teradata systems including development/UAT, DR, and production.
• Implement and administer access policies per corporate standards.
• Assist with design, development and deployment of DBA processes.
• Collaborate with project teams on DB changes for large initiatives.
• Produce weekly status reports to management.

As a Teradata DBA, you will:

• Teradata DBA with more than 10 years’ experience including some experience with Teradata V17.20 or higher.
• Support Application DBA functions including DDL creation, SQL scripting, problem research, change deployments, on call rotation support, etc.
• Assist with design, development, implementation, documentation, and support of automated DBA processes using Teradata and Unix/Linux scripting.
• Support multiple Teradata systems including development/UAT, disaster recovery, and the enterprise warehouse production environments.
• Implement and administer access policies in conjunction with corporate standards.
• Support some Mainframe administrative functions including archive processing and job scheduling.
• Manage, design, support, document, and consult on practices of storage management, archive, restore, and disaster recovery.
• Work closely with Application projects teams on implementation of database changes to support large project initiatives and BAU work.
• Complete any assigned training courses and attend any required team meetings/calls to learn about and stay up to date on internal DBA team processes and tools. Provide high level weekly written status report to manager.
• Work independently with minimal supervision, with general guidance from more seasoned DBA team members or managers.
• Advanced working knowledge of Teradata RDBMS at both physical and logical levels.
• Advanced working knowledge of Teradata suite of tools: Teradata Studio, TDWM, BTEQ, ARCMAIN, FASTOAD, MLOAD, TPUMP, TPT, DBQL, PDCR.
• Working knowledge of Mainframe interfaces and execution; TDP, JCL, TSO, ISPF, FICON, NDM.
• Working knowledge of Viewpoint, Teradata Data Mover, Teradata BAR technology.
• Working knowledge of Unix/Linux scripting (KSH, BASH, PERL).
• Familiar with Teradata Systems setup, GDO, DBSControl, Multitool, etc.
• Working knowledge of QueryGrid, DSA, Taraserver, NPARC, TASM
• Working knowledge of job schedulers: CA-7, AutoSys, etc. Replication technologies, Golden Gate.
• Familiar with REXX scripting.
• Familiar with Hadoop and Cloud concepts and technologies
• Familiar with project and change management solutions and automation software, such as Agile, Remedy, Ansible.

This position is only open to applicants who can be engaged on a W-2 basis.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS

Pay Range*: $68/hr. on W2

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
