The Department of Statistics at the University of Virginia invites applicants for a tenured faculty appointment at the level of Professor or Associate Professor. All research areas in Statistics are welcome, with emphasis on candidates who complement existing departmental expertise and engage across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Statistics or Biostatistics by start date.
• Strong potential to contribute to the department's mission and to engage in external funding opportunities.
• Ability to mentor junior faculty and excel in teaching and advising at all levels of students.

Responsibilities

• Regular tenured/tenure-track faculty teach three courses per year.
• Advise students and contribute to service within the department and university.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaborations across UVA and external partners.
