Successful candidates will be appointed as tenured Professors, with opportunities to collaborate across the university, Dell Medical School, and diverse research centers.

Qualifications

• Earned research doctorate in nursing.
• Established record of scholarship for tenure at Professor.
• Strong peer‑reviewed publications in primary area.
• Demonstrated record of securing extramural funding.
• Evidence of mentoring students and junior researchers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and advance a nationally recognized, externally funded research program.
• Pursue and sustain extramural funding from federal agencies, foundations, and other sponsors.
• Produce high-impact scholarship and translate nursing science.
• Develop interdisciplinary collaborations within the School of Nursing, across the University, and with healthcare partners.
• Mentor junior faculty, postdoctoral scholars, and doctoral students.
• Teach and advise graduate and/or undergraduate students.

• Develop interdisciplinary and cross-sector collaborationswithin the School of Nursing, across The University of Texas atAustin, and with the broader healthcare and researchcommunity.
• Mentor junior faculty, postdoctoral scholars, doctoralstudents, and other emerging nurse scientists.
• Teach and advise graduate and/or undergraduate studentsconsistent with the needs of the School and the candidate'sexpertise.
• Provide leadership and service to the School of Nursing, theUniversity, the community, and the profession.

Required Qualifications:

• Earned research doctorate in nursing.
• An established record of scholarship appropriate forappointment with tenure at the rank of Professor at The Universityof Texas at Austin
• A strong record of peer-reviewed, data-based publicationsrelevant to the candidate's primary area of expertise.
• A demonstrated record of securing and successfully managingextramural research funding.
• Evidence of successful mentoring of students, junior faculty,postdoctoral scholars, and/or other researchers.

Preferred Qualifications:

• An active program of federally funded research.
• A sustained record of major extramural research fundingappropriate to the candidate's area of expertise.
• Experience building collaborative research teams and mentoringemerging investigators.
• Research that complements and expands existing strengths withinthe School of Nursing and University.
• Eligibility for RN licensure in the State of Texas
