Job summary

University of Idaho invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in water-environment engineering within the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. The successful candidate will teach and develop courses in water-environment topics, mentor undergraduate and graduate students, and build an externally funded research program.

Rank and tenure are negotiable, with exceptional candidates potentially eligible for tenure.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• Expertise in water and/or environmental engineering.
• Record of research productivity.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to obtain PE licensure in Idaho within 5 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Teach and develop water-environment engineering courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Develop a strong externally funded research program and mentor students.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary faculty and participate in the Water Resources Graduate Program.
