Qualifications

• PhD in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, or closely related field by appointment date.
• Ability to teach and develop courses in synoptic dynamics, forecasting, and mesoscale meteorology.
• Demonstrated research aligned with synoptic meteorology and forecasting with AI components.
• Demonstrated awareness of diverse student populations and inclusive teaching.

Responsibilities

• Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in synoptic meteorology and forecasting.
• Conduct research in area of expertise and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
• Develop and supervise student research and assist with grants.
• Engage in department, college, and university service activities.
• Promote inclusive teaching practices and diverse student success.
