University of Houston's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Applied Quantum Computing, Communication, Cybersecurity, and Quantum-Safe AI at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank.

The successful candidate will be appointed at the Assistant Professor (tenure-track) or Associate Professor (tenure-eligible) rank, with opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration across ECE, CS, and Business.

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, physics, applied mathematics, financial engineering, or closely related field.
• Strong potential for developing externally funded, internationally recognized research at quantum tech/AI/cybersecurity/communications intersections.
• Record of teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels and commitment to mentoring students.

Responsabilités

• Establish an internationally recognized, externally funded research program.
• Foster collaborations across Engineering, Computer Science, Business, and Data Science.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses and supervise students in research.
• Contribute to UH’s educational and research missions and workforce development initiatives.
