Job summary

University of Nebraska-Lincoln seeks a nine-month tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor in Psychometrics and Quantitative Methods (QQPM) to augment the Educational Psychology program starting August 2027.

The candidate will conduct methodological research, teach graduate and undergraduate courses, supervise students, and collaborate across college and system on substantive projects, while contributing to external funding efforts.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in psychometrics, measurement, quantitative methods, or a related field conferred no later than August 2027.
• Evidence of research productivity and an emerging publication record.
• Potential for excellence in teaching and mentoring graduate and/or undergraduate students.
• Expertise or interest in modern psychometrics and related modeling approaches (IRT, SEM, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining an on-going program of methodological research leading to publications in major journals.
• Collaborating with faculty across the College of Education and Human Sciences, UNL, and the University of Nebraska system on methodological issues.
• Effective instruction, student research advisement, and student mentoring.
• Participating in faculty governance.
• Participating in and/or preparing applications for external funding.
• Providing leadership and service at local, state, and national levels.
