Geneva College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Psychology and Social Services. The position begins August 2026 and will remain open, until filled.

The faculty member will teach a twelve-hour load per semester to non-majors and to majors in related programs, with opportunities for advising, research, and participation in faculty governance. Strong commitment to Christian higher education is required; a Ph.D.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in psychology, with specific coursework in research methods and statistics.
• ABD considered.
• Active research or research potential required.

Responsibilities

• Teach twelve contact hours per semester.
• Prepare course materials and lessons; preparation time varies by experience.
• Provide clear course expectations, evaluations, and syllabi per guidelines.
• Provide interesting assignments demonstrating learning outcomes in real-life settings.
• Engage with and support students while maintaining mutual respect.
• Provide timely grades and meet deadlines for mid-term and final grades.
• Respond to student questions promptly.
• Ensure learning outcomes are delivered as defined by the syllabus.
