Job summary

Brigham Young University’s Department of Instructional Psychology & Technology seeks a full-time, tenure-track professorial faculty member to advance teaching and research in instructional design, educational technology, and learning sciences.

The candidate will mentor MS and PhD students, develop instructional materials, and publish in peer‑reviewed venues, contributing to BYU’s mission and culture while relocating to Utah.

Qualifications

• PhD in Instructional Technology or related field.
• Teach graduate courses in instructional design & development, assessment, psychology, or evaluation.
• Mentor MS and PhD students in design, development, and research of learning materials.
• Establish or contribute to a strong research publication record.

Responsibilities

• Teach graduate courses in instructional design & development, assessment, psychology, or evaluation.
• Teach undergraduate courses in educational technology.
• Advise MS and PhD students.
• Devise, carry out, and maintain a robust research agenda.
• Publish and disseminate research in peer‑reviewed venues.
• Embrace and fully participate in BYU citizenship and culture.
