Job summary

Northern State University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month tenure-track faculty position in Human Performance/Exercise Science in the Department of Sports Sciences. The successful candidate will contribute to undergraduate and graduate education through excellence in teaching, laboratory instruction, mentoring, scholarship, and service.

The role includes directing the Human Performance & Biomechanics Laboratory and coordinating with athletics and community partners.

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate in Exercise Science, Biomechanics, Kinesiology, or a related field.
• ABD candidates who will complete their degree before appointment will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Teach face-to-face and online undergraduate and graduate courses in a learner-centered environment.
• Supervise undergraduate/graduate research and mentor graduate students.
• Engage in scholarly activity and service to the university and community.
• Direct the Human Performance & Biomechanics Laboratory, overseeing lab operations and graduate assistants.
• Collaborate with athletics and community partners and support accreditation and program development.

Education

Doctorate in Exercise Science, Biomechanics, Kinesiology, or related field
