Qualifications

  • Earned doctorate from an accredited institution in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, or closely related field from a regionally accredited university.
  • A clearly articulated research agenda or scholarly record commensurate to the rank of Assistant Professor.
  • Active commitment to working with diverse populations and fostering socially just, culturally responsive, and antiracist practices in higher education or community settings.
  • Applicants for the position of Associate Professor must meet the requirements above and possess a distinguished record of academic achievement that satisfies the criteria for Associate Professor status.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching and advising in the undergraduate Exercise and Rehabilitation Sciences program.
  • Conducting and publishing peer-reviewed research and seeking external funding for ongoing research.
  • Serving the campus/community/profession through committee participation at the departmental, college and UMD level.
