Job summary

Weber State University in Ogden, Utah, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor position in Printmaking within the Department of Visual Art and Design (DOVAD). The appointment begins July 1, 2027, with a 12-credit undergraduate teaching load per semester (typically three courses) and a starting salary of $60,000 plus room for exceptional qualifications.

The successful candidate will teach across the Printmaking program, including Studio Foundations, General

Qualifications

Terminal degree (MFA/PhD or equivalent) in Printmaking, 2D Media, or related field
Two or more years of experience teaching printmaking
Experience managing and maintaining a fully-equipped printmaking lab (etching, lithography, relief, screen printing, letterpress, photoprint)

Responsibilities

Teach introductory to upper-level Printmaking courses and DOVAD’s Foundation sequence and BFA capstone courses
Manage and upkeep the printmaking studio
Contribute to curricular revision and innovation
Maintain active professional practice (exhibitions, residencies, lectures) and participate in service to Department/College/University
