• Ph.D. or equivalent required at time of appointment.
• Postdoctoral experience preferred.
• Evidence of scholarship during graduate and post-graduate activities.
• Ability or potential to obtain extramural support for research.
• Ability to develop and instruct undergraduate and graduate courses and to present to scientific audiences.

Responsibilities

• Establish a competitive, funded research program in postharvest horticulture.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses (≈2.5 courses/year).
• Advise graduate students and participate in mentoring.
• Engage in outreach, program development and departmental service.
• Collaborate with Extension specialists and industry partners.

Education
