Capital University seeks a passionate science educator with specialization in Human Anatomy and Vertebrate Physiology with emphasis on Evolution for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences beginning as early as January 2027.

The successful candidate will teach introductory and upper-level undergraduate courses, including Foundations of Biology (BIOL 151 & 152), Human A&P (BIOL 231 & 232), Vertebrate Physiology (BIOL 334),

Qualifications

• PhD preferred at time of appointment.
• Evidence of excellence in teaching required; use evidence-based methods.

Responsibilities

• Teach across the science curriculum, including Foundations of Biology (BIOL 151 & 152), Human A&P (BIOL 231 & 232), Vertebrate Physiology (BIOL 334).
• Teach upper-level biological electives and laboratory courses for STEM majors.
• Engage in undergraduate student-centered research and contribute to High Impact Practices in higher education.
