Job summary

Salisbury University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor in the Physics Department. This is a 10-month, full-time tenure-track position beginning in August 2027.

Responsibilities include teaching 12 credit hours per semester of undergraduate physics and engineering courses and laboratories at introductory and advanced levels, and contributing to the Curriculum. Faculty are expected to mentor students in research and participate in campus service and scholarship

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent in physics, physics education, or related field completed before hire.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching and research.
• Commitment to serving a diverse student body and promoting inclusive learning.

Responsibilities

• Teach 12 credit hours per semester of undergraduate physics and engineering courses and laboratories.
• Contribute to the general physics and engineering curricula and mentoring in student research.
