Job summary

Chatham University seeks an Assistant or Associate Professor in Occupational Therapy to join the 12-month tenure-eligible faculty team. The role focuses on teaching, advising, and scholarship within the entry-level Doctor of Occupational Therapy program.

The candidate will collaborate on accreditation, curriculum development, admissions, and student success initiatives while maintaining licensure and pursuing ongoing scholarly contributions. Some remote work may be available.

Qualifications

• Initial certification as an OTR (NBCOT) and current PA license or eligibility.
• Post-professional doctoral degree (PhD/EdD/ScD/OTD/DHSc/DrOT).
• Minimum five years of clinical occupational therapy experience.
• Experience teaching in higher education and clinical education settings.
• Commitment to inclusive teaching and service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, teach, and evaluate OT coursework for the entry-level program.
• Mentor doctoral students on capstone projects and scholarly work.
• Provide academic advising and professional mentorship to students.
• Contribute to curriculum development, assessment, and QA activities.
• Support accreditation and program evaluation initiatives.
