Hires will have opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration via broad research initiatives and centers, including the Center for Optimization and Statistical Learning, the Center for Engineering and Health, and the Center for Deep Learning in IEMS, as well as Northwestern Network of Collaborative Intelligence, the Center for Foundation Models and Generative AI, the Center for Engineering Sustainability and Resilience, the Institute for Data, Econometrics, Algorithms, and Learning, the Institute on Complex Systems, and the Transportation Center.
IEMS offers an undergraduate degree, an undergraduate minor in machine learning & data science, a PhD degree, and master’s degrees in machine learning & data science and in engineering management. Both the undergraduate and doctoral programs are consistently ranked among the top ten by US News & World Report.
