University of Wisconsin-Green Bay seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Nutrition Sciences to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, mentor students, and develop a robust research program. The department values inclusive teaching and supports a diverse educational environment.

The position requires a Doctorate in Nutrition or a closely related field, with an emphasis on scholarly activity and service.

Competenze

• Earned doctorate in Nutrition, Food Science or closely related field from an accredited institution by the end of the first academic year.
• If the doctorate is not completed by the start date, the candidate will be hired into a terminal appointment at the rank of Instructor with a rate determined at hire; upon degree conferral, title changes to Assistant Professor.
• Preferred: Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential.
• Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and scholarship; commitment to inclusive teaching and diversity.

Mansioni

• Advise and mentor students with opportunities to support graduate student capstone projects.
• Teaching course load of 24 contact hours (approximately 8 courses per academic year).
• Contribute to ongoing program development in both undergraduate and graduate programs in nutrition science/dietetics, including management of the accredited Dietetics graduate program.
• Perform institutional and community service.
• Develop a strong research program involving collaboration with students and/or faculty.
• Perform scholarly activities consistent with rank.
• Teach lower- and upper-level undergraduate courses (online and in-person) and graduate courses in Nutrition Sciences, including Human Nutrition, Nutritional Biochemistry, Lifespan Nutrition, Culinary Medicine, Nutrigenomics, Advanced Nutrient Metabolism and other related courses.
• Implement inclusive instructional strategies to increase support for students from underrepresented and first-generation backgrounds.
