Job summary

Great Basin College in Elko, Nevada, is hiring a full-time, 9-month tenure-track nursing faculty member to join the Associate of Applied Science Nursing Program. The instructor will teach classroom, online, simulation, and clinical courses and mentor nursing students.

The position requires a Master’s in Nursing (or BSN with MSN enrollment within one year) and a minimum of three years RN experience, with NV licensure upon hire. Travel to other campuses and meetings may be required.

Qualifications

• Master's in Nursing (MSN) or BSN with enrollment in MSN within 1 year from ACEN/CCNE-accredited program.
• Minimum three years of RN experience in medical/surgical, acute care, or community health settings.
• Nevada RN licensure required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in AAS Nursing, RN-BSN, MAPe programs across lecture, online, and clinical modalities.
• Provide hands-on instruction in simulation labs and clinical environments.
• Evaluate student performance and learning outcomes achievement.
• Participate in curriculum development, accreditation activities, and student advisement.
• Contribute to nursing dept and college committees; support CNA program as needed.
• Travel to other GBC campuses and statewide or national meetings; overnight stays may be required.
