Job summary

Alfred State College is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Nursing to join our growing team. You will develop and deliver engaging nursing curricula, teach across classroom, lab, simulation, and clinical settings, and mentor students toward successful careers in healthcare.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Nursing or Nursing Education (or pursuing) with NYS licensure and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing or Nursing Education required or pursuing.
• Current NYS Professional Nursing License required.
• CPR certification required.
• Strong teaching and clinical communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging nursing curriculum and course materials.
• Teach and evaluate students in classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical settings.
• Mentor and advise students throughout their nursing education.
• Collaborate with faculty and clinical partners to provide meaningful learning experiences.
• Support student recruitment, retention, and success.

Education

Master's degree in Nursing or Nursing Education

Doctorate in Nursing or related field (preferred)

Current New York State Professional Nursing License

Current CPR certification
