Job summary

The California State University, Fullerton invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Nursing (Nursing Generalist) beginning August 2027. Qualifications

• Earned doctorate in Nursing (PhD or DNP) or a closely related doctoral degree from an accredited institution by the appointment date.
• Current unencumbered Registered Nurse license or eligibility for California RN licensure before employment; must meet applicable California BRN nursing faculty requirements.
• Demonstrated commitment to and excellence or strong potential in undergraduate nursing teaching, with ability to teach across multiple areas of undergraduate and graduate nursing curricula.
• Strong record of scholarly accomplishments appropriate to the level of appointment and evidence of an active, focused program of scholarship.
• Experience working collaboratively with colleagues and ability to balance excellent teaching, scholarship, and service.
• Demonstrated potential to integrate instructional technology effectively and support student learning in varied educational settings.
• Demonstrated commitment to working effectively with students from intersecting marginalized social groups.

Responsibilities

• Teach and assess nursing students across BSN, RN-BSN, MSN, Post-Master’s Certificate, and DNP programs.
• Supervise clinical learning and coordinate student experiences.
• Design and evaluate curriculum aligned with AACN Essentials, BRN, and CCNE standards.
• Advise and mentor students; support accreditation and program assessment.
• Participate in faculty governance and contribute to partnerships with healthcare entities.
• Develop an active program of scholarship including publications, presentations, and grant development.
