The McGovern Institute for Brain Research and the Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences at MIT, Cambridge, invite applications for a faculty position at any level with a preference for a tenure-track Assistant Professor, beginning July 1, 2027 or later. The lab will be housed within the McGovern Institute.

Applicants should have a background in basic science, including cell/molecular and/or systems neuroscience, with a strong focus on translational neuroscience in nonhuman animals.

Qualifications

• PhD required by start of employment.
• Background in basic science including cell/molecular and/or systems neuroscience.
• Translational neuroscience in nonhuman animals preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct original scholarly research.
• Teach courses at graduate and undergraduate level in brain and cognitive sciences.
• Mentor students and contribute to a welcoming culture.
