Job summary

The Michigan Neuroscience Institute at the University of Michigan invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant Professor rank; highly qualified applicants at other ranks will also be considered. We seek neuroscientists applying genome- or brain-wide methods to study brain function or disease, with emphasis on AI applications.

Depending on focus, the successful candidate’s research may be housed within the NeuroInnovation Center at the North Campus Research Complex

Qualifications

• PhD and/or MD required with a strong, sustained research record.
• Submit a cover letter, CV, and Research Statement (3 pages max) highlighting interdisciplinary plans within MNI.
• Applications received before November 1, 2026 will receive full consideration.

Responsibilities

• Establish an independent, externally funded research program.
• Mentor graduate students and postdocs and contribute to teaching as appropriate.
• Collaborate across University of Michigan departments and MNI.
