Job summary

California State University, Fullerton invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Kinesiology, beginning Fall 2027. Primary teaching will include introductory and upper-level motor control and motor learning courses.

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Neuroscience, or a related field by the time of appointment.
• Strong foundation/training in Motor Control and/or Motor Learning theories and research techniques.
• Demonstrated ability/potential to provide high-quality undergraduate and graduate education.
• Demonstrated ability/potential to work with a diverse student population, including first-generation college students.
• Record of scholarship in their respective area of specialization; and A demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion in teaching, scholarship, and/or service.

Responsibilities

• Primary teaching assignments will include both introductory and upper-level motor control and motor learning courses (e.g., Human Motor Control and Learning, Motor Control and Movement Dysfunction).
• Develop and maintain an active research program in aging populations focusing on balance/postural control and falls.
• Contribute to service, mentoring, and outreach within the department and university.
