Job summary

Qualifications

• Certification as a Special Education teacher in NJ.
• Bachelor's degree in education.
• Degree in Special Education.
• Experience in special education setting.

Responsibilities

• Conducts assessments and diagnostic tests to identify learning issues.
• Develops and implements IEPs.
• Assists with behavior management plans and student support.
• Coordinates with outside agencies and PPT teams.
• Maintains accurate record-keeping and provides information to colleges and employers as required by district procedures.
• Encourages parental involvement and effective communication with families.
• Taught in both In Class Resource and Out of Class Resource settings.
