Qualifications

  • Earned doctorate in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field, to be completed no later than December 2026; ABD candidates who can demonstrate the ability to meet the requirements may also be considered.
  • Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching.
  • Demonstrated potential for excellence in research.
  • For Associate‑Professor rank: a strong track record of success in teaching, research, and service consistent with that level.

Responsibilities

  • Teach a course load of 24 contact hours per academic year, with a 3‑credit remission in the first academic year.
  • Instruct both theory and lab courses in the Mechanical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering Technology programs.
  • Conduct assessment activities associated with ABET accreditation.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to student success through active learning, high student engagement, and teamwork‑focused pedagogical approaches.
  • Advise and mentor students.
  • Develop a strong research program involving collaboration with students and faculty.
  • Perform scholarly activities consistent with rank.
  • Participate in institutional and community service.
  • Contribute to ongoing program development.
  • Implement inclusive instructional strategies to support students from underrepresented and first‑generation backgrounds at UW‑Green Bay.
