The Mathematics and Computer Science Department at Hostos Community College of the City University of New York invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent.
• The following qualifications are preferred: PhD in Mathematics OR Computer Science OR combination of Mathematics and Computer Science.
• Years of experience teaching introductory courses in Mathematics and Computer Science is essential.
• Ability to teach successfully in an urban multicultural setting; bilingual skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in Mathematics and Computer Science, and electives within their area of research.
• Contribute to departmental priorities in teaching, student recruitment, guidance, and research.
• Lead coordination and assessment of all courses in the department.
