Job summary

University of Wisconsin-Whitewater seeks an Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track) in Kinesiology to join the Department of Kinesiology. The successful candidate will teach in the Human Performance major and graduate programs, with a 24-credit annual teaching load and expectations for scholarly activity and service.

Qualifications

• Terminal degree (Ph.D., Ed.D., MFA, or equivalent) in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Health Science, Human Performance, or a related discipline by the time of appointment.
• ABD candidates may apply but must have degree completed by start date; may be hired on a one-year contract if not.
• Demonstrated excellence in university-level teaching and potential for scholarly achievement.

Responsibilities

• Teach 24 credits per academic year in the Kinesiology Department.
• Maintain five office hours per week for student support.
• Advise/mentor students using Navigate; participate in curriculum development.
• Contribute to program assessment, development, and university service.
