Job summary

The University of North Texas College of Visual Arts and Design invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Interior Design. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, contribute to scholarship, and engage in service to the program and profession.

Responsibilities include mentoring students, developing a teaching and scholarly agenda, and maintaining an active professional practice aligned with CIDA accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum: relevant graduate degree in Interior Design or closely related field.
• MS/MA in Interior Design, or M.Arch, or a terminal degree (PhD, MFA, MDES) in Interior Design.
• Evidence of professional design experience in interior design.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate students in Interior Design program.
• Develop teaching portfolio and a scholarly research agenda.
• Mentor students and contribute service to program, college, university, and profession.
