Job summary

Texas Tech University invites applications for a Tenure Acquiring Assistant or Associate Professor (9-Month) in the Department of Design. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate Interior Design courses and graduate courses in Environmental Design and the PhD program, while pursuing research and service across health-focused design contexts.

Qualifications

Terminal degree (Ph.D. or MFA) in Interior Design or related field.
At least one degree should be in interior design or architecture.
Teaching experience in interior design at higher education.
Strong scholarly record with potential for extramural funding.
Professional practice experience in interior design or architecture.
Experience with industry software: AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, SketchUp.
WELL AP, NKBA, AAHID, or other relevant certifications.
Experience with outreach or service.

Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate Interior Design courses and graduate courses in Environmental Design and PhD programs.
Engage in research and scholarly activity in design education and health-focused spaces.
Contribute to department, college, and university service and governance.
Collaborate across disciplines within the Texas Tech Design Village and allied programs.
