University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Interior Architecture in a tenure-track, nine-month faculty position. The role includes teaching undergraduate interior architecture studios and foundation studios, plus selected lecture courses such as lighting and design theory.

Success requires a terminal degree in interior design/architecture, NCIDQ certification, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Terminal degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a design-related discipline (Ph.D., MFA, M. Arch., or equivalent) with a studio-based degree in Interior Design/Interior Architecture.
• NCIDQ certification required at the time of hire or achievable within a reasonable timeframe.
• Strong visual, written, and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in industry standard design software (Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Office, Adobe).
• Eligibility to work in the United States at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate interior architecture studios and design foundation studios.
• Teach one or more supporting lecture courses (e.g., lighting, design theory, history).
• Develop scholarship and contribute to service within the unit, school, college, and university.
