Job summary

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Idaho seeks candidates for a full-time tenure track assistant professor or tenure track or tenured associate professor in the broad area of water-environment engineering. Exceptional candidates may be eligible for a tenured appointment.

Rank and tenure are negotiable based on how the candidate meets the criteria outlined in the college and department bylaws.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering or closely related field
• Expertise in water and/or environmental engineering
• Record of research productivity
• Ability to obtain licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Idaho within 5 years of hire

Responsibilities

• Advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students.
• Develop a strong externally funded research program.
• Teach traditional civil engineering water-environment courses.
• Collaborate with faculty on water quality, wastewater treatment and resource recovery topics.
• Engage with interdisciplinary programs and colleagues within Water Resources Graduate Program.
