Job summary

University of New Mexico invites applications for an Assistant Professor of the History of Photography. The successful candidate will teach two courses per semester, spanning lower and upper-division undergraduates, and graduate courses in photography history.

Responsibilities include advising MA/PhD students, contributing to cross-department collaborations, and engaging in an active research agenda that broadens global contexts within art history.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in History of Art with a specialization in the History of Photography by the time of appointment.
• Experience teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Art History.

Responsibilities

• Teach lower and upper-division undergraduate courses and graduate seminars in the History of Photography.
• Advise MA/PhD students and participate in department and university committees.
