Job summary

College of Southern Nevada seeks a full-time, tenure-track Instructor of Graphic Communications to begin Spring 2027. The program prepares students for careers in design, with emphasis on client- and industry-based practices.

The successful candidate will teach five undergraduate courses per semester in Graphic Design, Adobe Creative Suite, and motion/UI/UX design. Required: Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, New Media, or related field.

Qualifications

• College-level teaching experience and/or a record of client-based, industry experience.
• Teaching experience in a college setting.
• Demonstrated expertise in three or more of the following graphic communications areas: typography, digital imaging, visual/design fundamentals, conceptual design, layout design, illustration, print production and prepress, image manipulation, art direction, design history/theory, storyboarding, motion graphics, broadcast graphics, interaction/interactive communications design, instructional design, or related areas.
• Experience with current industry standard tools is preferred, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and comparable applications such as Canva, Blender, or Cinema 4D.
• Knowledge of Unreal Engine or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Teach five undergraduate courses per semester in Graphic Design, Adobe Creative Suite, Motion graphics and UI/UX design.
• Contribute to curriculum development and student mentorship.
