Job summary

The University of Central Florida’s Department of Chemistry and the National Center for Forensic Science invite applications for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-earning Assistant Professor in Forensic Toxicology. The position is a joint appointment with NCFS and begins August 2027.

Spanning undergraduate and graduate teaching, the role supports externally funded research programs and state-of-the-art facilities.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in chemistry or related field from an accredited institution.
• Post‑doctoral experience or equivalent (e.g., forensic casework) preferred.
• Publications in Human Forensic Toxicology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach in undergraduate and graduate programs as part of a joint Chemistry/NCFS appointment.
• Develop externally funded, nationally competitive research programs.
• Contribute to departmental and NCFS initiatives in forensic toxicology.
