Job summary

The Department of Chemistry at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-earning Assistant Professor in Forensic Toxicology, a joint position with the NCFS. Begin August 2027; develop externally funded research and teach undergrad/grad courses.

The department offers programs in chemistry and forensic science with state-of-the-art labs and a startup package; candidates will contribute to teaching and service per workload policy and collaborate

Qualifications

• PhD in chemistry or closely related field from an accredited institution and a demonstrated track record of research productivity in forensic science.
• Preference is given to post‑doctoral research or equivalent experience and to presentations/publications in Human Forensic Toxicology.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in chemistry and forensic science.
• Develop externally funded, nationally competitive research programs and contribute to the NCFS collaboration.
