Job summary

University of Kansas is seeking up to two Assistant Professors in Finance for the 2027-28 academic year. The positions are full-time, tenure-track, and require a Ph.D. in Finance or related field by August 18, 2027.

The successful candidates will publish in leading journals, teach at undergraduate, masters, and doctoral levels, and contribute through service and outreach aligned with the School of Business and KU mission.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. degree in Finance or related field by Aug 18, 2027.
• Demonstrated scholarship excellence as shown through publications and working papers.
• Demonstrated teaching excellence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain an active program of scholarly research in finance and related fields, leading to publications in high-quality journals and presentations.
• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in finance and related disciplines, with mentoring and curriculum development.
• Engage in service activities supporting the area, school, university, profession, and broader community.
