Qualifications

• Masters degree in the appropriate discipline.
• Experience teaching at undergraduate or community college level preferred.
• Strong organizational, advising, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff, and administrators.
• Strong instructional and classroom management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and teach an assigned instructional load (15 credits in the fall and spring)
• Maintain a minimum of 5 office hours per week
• Utilize instructional activities and strategies that support learning outcomes
• Develop methods of assessment that align with learning outcomes
• Use assessment results to improve instruction, curriculum, and student success initiatives
• Contribute to curriculum development and incorporate current disciplinary knowledge and technologies
• Maintain current course materials in the learning management system and ensure accessibility and compliance
• Provide clear effective communication and feedback to students
• Advise and mentor students regarding progress, transfer opportunities, and career pathways
• Maintain attendance and scholastic records and submit requirements by deadlines
