Job summary

Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) invites applications for a nine-month tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Exercise and Sport Sciences. The successful candidate will specialize in wellness/behavior modification or sport/exercise/physical activity psychology and teach a range of courses.

The position requires teaching in classroom, laboratory, and/or virtual settings, advising undergraduate students, and engaging in scholarly activities.

Qualifications

• Doctorate required in a related discipline with degree conferred before Aug 2027.
• Teaching experience in higher education is required.
• Professional experience in the exercise industry is required.

Responsibilities

• Teach 12 credit hours per semester of undergraduate coursework.
• Advise students and provide academic service to the department and university.
• Engage in scholarly activities and supervise student field experiences.
