• Ph.D. in geography or closely related discipline by start date.
• Experience with environmental/climate science and human-environment perspectives using geospatial or data-intensive approaches.
• Evidence of excellence or strong potential in teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Evidence of excellence or strong potential for competitive external funding and high-quality scholarship.

Responsibilities

• Teach roughly 40% of duties with emphasis on introductory geography, geospatial, and climate courses.
• Maintain an externally funded research program with annual proposals as PI or co-PI.
• Mentor graduate students in Geography MS and PhD programs.
