Job summary
The University of St. Thomas invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Geography, GIS, or related field, beginning Fall 2027.
We seek an interdisciplinary environmental scholar who applies geospatial analysis to address environmental challenges across human and natural systems. The successful candidate will teach GIS and geospatial courses, mentor undergraduate researchers, contribute to interdisciplinary initiatives,
Qualifications
- PhD in Environmental Science/Studies/Geography/Geology/Sustainability/Natural Resources or related field; ABD near completion considered with instructor appointment.
Responsibilities
- Teach introductory and advanced GIS and geospatial analysis courses.
- Maintain an active research program with undergraduate collaborators.
- Engage in interdisciplinary initiatives across the department and university.
- Participate in service to department, university, and community.
- Support the university's mission to educate for the common good.
