Job summary

Wilkes University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering with a preferred specialization in Power Systems. The department seeks a collaborative teacher-scholar committed to excellence in undergraduate education, hands-on learning, and student mentoring.

Start date anticipated Fall 2027, with emphasis on teaching core undergraduate EE courses. Responsibilities include teaching, curriculum development, advising, and contributing to ABET

Qualifications

  • PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field by appointment date.
  • Strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching.
  • Ability to teach both lecture and laboratory courses; productive scholarly activity.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate electrical engineering and laboratory courses.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and ABET-related activities.
  • Develop and mentor student scholarship and research.
  • Advise and mentor undergraduate students.
  • Participate in assessment and continuous improvement activities for ABET accreditation.
  • Collaborate with faculty across engineering and related disciplines.
