Qualifikationen

• Earned doctorate (Ph.D. or Ed.D) in education or closely related field by time of appointment.
• Experience teaching, mentoring, advising, or working with first-generation and underserved students.
• A minimum of three years of teaching in TK–12 or equivalent setting.
• Commitment to advocacy, leadership, scholarship, and program development for educational equity.

Aufgaben

• Teach social science methods, educational foundations, and teacher education courses with a justice-oriented Ethnic Studies framework.
• Prepare teacher candidates to develop equity-centered, culturally sustaining pedagogies for diverse communities.
• Teach graduate courses in the M.A. in Education program and contribute to interdisciplinary offerings.
• Maintain an active program of research, scholarship, and/or creative activity.
• Supervise and mentor teacher candidates in clinical practice across various pathways in Northern California.
• Advise credential and graduate students and participate in graduate committees.
• Engage in service and governance within the School of Education, College, and university.
