The University of Vermont invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Education Finance within the Department of Education, starting Fall 2026. This tenure-track role is housed in the College of Education and Social Services and emphasizes research, teaching, and service.

Competenze

• Earned doctoral degree in Educational Leadership, Education Policy or closely related area (or anticipated degree by July 2026).
• Ability to teach two or more areas: education finance, quantitative research methods, program evaluation, data management in organizations, educational management and leadership, advanced quantitative methods, network improvement communities.
• Experience with education funding and public finance research, preferably in Pre-K-12 systems.
• Knowledge of educational leadership theory, research and practices in the U.S.
• Knowledge of educational finance research, theory, and practice.
• Demonstrated strength in scholarship, teaching and service in education finance.
• Successful college/university teaching experience.

• Engage in development, expansion, and leadership of graduate programs (M.Ed., Ed.D., Ph.D.) with focus on funding, education finance, and outreach.
• Engage in an active research program with high-impact publications and presentations.
• Seek external funding for research and program development.
