Job summary

Eastern Connecticut State University’s Department of Computer Science invites applications for an Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) in Computer Science. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate CS courses, mentor students, advise, and contribute to curriculum development and service, in a liberal arts environment.

Qualifications include a Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field and demonstrated potential to teach Java programming and system-level courses such as Software

Qualifications

Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field, completed before August 2027.
Demonstrated excellence or strong potential to teach Java Programming and upper-level courses in Software Engineering, Computer Architecture, Computer Algorithms, Design and Implementation of Programming Languages, or Operating Systems.
Ability to teach core courses as well as develop specialized electives.

Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate computer science courses at all levels ( workload of 12 credit hours per semester).
Curriculum development, research, undergraduate student research mentoring, advising and service to the department.
